According to Christian belief, the first Christmas was celebrated in Rome in 336 AD. A story related to the Christmas described in the New Testament of the Christian Scriptures is as follows. God sent an angel to Mary, a virgin named Gabriel.

That angel told Mary that he would give birth to the Son of God and the name of the child will be named Jesus. He will become king by growing up and there will be no limit to his kingdom. The angel went to Gabriel Joseph and told him that Mary would give birth to a child and advised him to take care of Mary and not to abandon her.

When all citizens were asked to join the census on their original birthplace as per the state order, one night Mary and Joseph went to Nazareth to go to Bethlehem. On the way, due to stormy winds and bad weather, he took refuge in a stable, where Mary gave birth to Jesus on the midnight of December 25. The Christmas festival is celebrated every year on December 25, as a remembrance of the birth anniversary of Jesus.

Therefore, some people give gifts and sweets to children by becoming Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
